The Simple Effective Prayer Model
After praying with hundreds of people, we were led by the Lord to develop a simple prayer model for those who want to learn how to pray for inner healing. The Simple Effective Prayer (SEP) 8-hour classroom instruction can be completed through several formats. For example, we offer four 2-hour sessions, two 4-hour sessions, or one 8-hour training day. After completing the classroom instruction, the trainee observes and participates as an intercessor in one or two prayer sessions with experienced prayer ministers. Trainees also schedule a time to receive prayer for their inner healing.
Prayer ministers invite the Holy Spirit to lead the prayer time at the beginning of each SEP session. They listen for His guidance throughout the prayer time. There are two trained prayer ministers in each prayer session and sometimes a third person intercedes. We do not pray alone with recipients. Trained prayer ministers are facilitators in the healing process, but the Holy Spirit does the healing. Nevertheless, we are blessed when we partner with the Holy Spirit in healing God’s children.
Together with the Holy Spirit, prayer ministers guide the prayer recipient to break negative ancestral influences and unhealthy spiritual ties and replace lies with God’s truth. The first recommended step for those who want to know more about the SEP model is to watch the introductory videos, found by scrolling to the bottom of the Education page on our website. Trainees can also set an appointment to receive inner healing prayer before the classroom training if they desire.
SEP training class times are available by contacting us at gena@simpleeffectiveprayer.com. These training classes are best provided in group settings. Each participant needs to obtain our training manual, Simple Effective Prayer: Finding Freedom and Inner Healing. The manual is available on Amazon.com. Trainees’ personal healing prayer sessions can take place before or after the classroom training. However, trainees need to receive healing prayer before they intercede for prayer recipients in a prayer session with trained prayer ministers.
Training Requirements:
- Complete the 8-hour classroom instruction in one of the offered formats
- Receive your inner healing prayer session
- Observe at least one prayer session facilitated by experienced prayer ministers
- Intercede in a prayer session led by experienced prayer ministers and begin praying for the prayer recipient while experienced prayer ministers take the lead role. The amount of time required to be confident in stepping into the role of prayer partner with experienced prayer ministers varies. Some individuals prefer to intercede longer before taking a more active role in praying.
